Switcher Error Responses

When the switcher receives an SIS command and determines that it is valid, it performs the
command and sends a response to the host device. If the switcher is unable to perform
the command because the command is invalid or contains invalid parameters, the switcher
returns an error response to the host. The error response codes are:
E01
E10
E11
E12
E13
E14
E17
E18
E21
E22
E24
E25
E26
E28
NOTE: If the unit does not support or recognize the entered commands, no response is
issued.

SIS Command and Response to Endpoints

This section explains how to send SIS commands from the Matrix to control any
bidirectionally connected endpoint. The SIS commands and responses for the Matrix appear
in the SIS tables (see
page 29).
NOTES:
In order to be able to send commands from the Matrix to the endpoints:
For SIS command for each specific endpoint, refer to the endpoint user guide.
To send commands to endpoints connected to the Matrix, use the following format:

NOTE: To enter multiple endpoints, separate each endpoint with a comma (,).
Invalid input number
Invalid command
Invalid preset number
Invalid output number
Invalid parameter
Invalid command for this configuration
NOTE: If the user attempts to make a tie between an input and output that
are not in the same partition, the matrix does not make the tie and issues
an E14 error message.
Invalid command for signal type
System or command timed out
Invalid room number
Busy
Privileges violation (Ethernet or USB. Personnel logged in as users attempting
operations requiring administrator privileges. Users have access to all view and
read commands [other than the administrator password], and can make ties
and recall presets, and mute and unmute the output.)
NOTE: Certain commands give E24 if not administrator level.
Device not present
Maximum number of connections exceeded
Bad filename or file not found

Endpoints must have bidirectional fiber connection.
The Matrix must be System Mapped (see the FOX3 Matrix System Map Setup
Guide available at www.extron.com).
Verbose mode 1 or 3 must be enabled on the Matrix.
