Connection information
Note
Insulation of external connections
The insulation of the external connections against the power inlet for proper operation of the
device with a rated voltage up to 300 V is designed for 3000 V AC.
Note
Connection requirements
The power cable must comply with the valid regulations and conditions for the place of
installation and be provided with a protective conductor at the potential of the enclosure. The
cross-section of each wire must be ≥ 1 mm
Note
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
You can use this device in industrial environments and small businesses. Metal housings show
increased electromagnetic compatibility compared to high-frequency radiation. The protection
from high-frequency radiation can be increased by grounding the housing.
Note
Improvement of interference immunity
• Lay signal cables separately from cables with voltages > 60 V.
• Use cables with twisted wires.
• Install the device and lay its cables at a distance to strong electromagnetic fields.
• Use shielded lines to guarantee the full specification according to Ethernet/PROFIBUS.
