• Inputting a current in excess of the maximum
*: The maximum rated current varies according to the frequency of
the current being measured. See the figures as follows:
"Fig.3 Derating according to frequency (SS-520)" (p. 5 0),
"Fig.4 Derating according to frequency (SS-521)" (p. 5 0)

rated current* can cause heating of the device,
resulting in device damage, a short-circuit, or
electric shock. Remove the device from the
conductor being measured immediately. The
device must be allowed to cool adequately before
resuming normal use.
Do not use for a prolonged period without cleaning the
inside.
If you use this instrument for a prolonged period without
cleaning dust inside, fire or malfunction may result.
We recommend to order Iwatsu office or our sales
distributors for inside cleaning together with periodical
inspection and calibration once a year or so.
