Precautions during preparation for measurements
To avoid shock and short circuits, turn off all
power before connecting the device.
• Before turning on the power, make sure that the
voltage of the power supply being used matches
the supply voltage indicated on the rear panel of
optional Model PS-54 or Model PS-52 Power
Supply.
• Check that the conductor being measured is not
clamped when supplying power to the device. A
demagnetizing waveform may be generated when
power is supplied, causing damage to components
connected to the circuit being measured.
• To avoid terminator (p. 2 5) damage, keep it
oriented in a straight line relative to the waveform
measurement instrument when connecting and
disconnecting it.
• To avoid damaging the output connector, pull
the unlock lever toward you and then pull the
connector out and away from the waveform
measurement instrument.
