apply force.


Do not store or use the device in locations
subject to abrupt temperature changes.
Doing so could damage the sensor heads.
Do not apply force in the directions shown in
the figure below while the upper jaw is locked
in place.
Doing so may damage the retracting/extending
mechanism.
Keep the upper jaw locked in place when the
device is not in use.
Leaving the upper jaw unlocked will cause dust or dirt to
settle on the facing core surfaces, resulting in damage
to the device.
