6. Press Enter; then, unmount the CD-ROM by typing the following:
umount /mnt
7. Press Enter. You can now remove the CD from the CD-ROM drive.

and IPSMON programs.

Installing IPSSEND and IPSMON for UnixWare

To install these programs for UnixWare 7.0:
1. Start the server.
2. After the operating system starts, insert the IBM ServeRAID Support CD into the CD-ROM drive.
3. Mount the CD by typing the following at the console:
mount -F cdfs -r /dev/cdrom/cdromdevicefile /mnt
Notes:
a. where cdromdevicefile is the specific device file for the CD-ROM block device. Look in the
/dev/cdrom directory to determine what cdromdevicefile is on your server, for example, c0b0t010.
b. If you currently have another device mounted on /mnt, you must create a new directory and
substitute its name for /mnt in these instructions.
4. Press Enter; then, type:
cp /mnt/programs/unixware/cmdline/ipssend /usr/bin
cp /mnt/programs/unixware/cmdline/ipsmon /usr/bin
5. Press Enter; then, type:
chmod 7 /usr/bin/ipssend
chmod 7 /usr/bin/ipsmon
6. Press Enter; then, unmount the CD-ROM by typing the following:
umount /mnt
7. Press Enter. You can now remove the CD from the CD-ROM drive.
8. Refer to Chapter 5, "Using utility programs" on page 73 for information to start and use the IPSSEND
and IPSMON programs.

Installing IPSSEND for IBM DOS

To install IPSSEND for DOS you must download the diskette image from the World Wide Web:
1. Go to the IBM Support Web site at the following address:
www.ibm.com/pc/support/
2. Select Server from the Select a Brand list box. The IBM Netfinity and PC Server Support page
appears.
3. Select ServeRAID from the Select a Family list box. The ServeRAID Support page appears.
4. Click Downloadable Files. The list of downloadable files appears.
5. Click ServeRAID - version 3.60 [operating system of your choice] Updates. The ServeRAID
Update page for your chosen operating system appears.
6. Download the IBM ServeRAID Command Line Programs Diskette version 3.60 and IBM ServeRAID
Command Line Programs Readme version 3.60 files.
