Contact with the roof when the head
restraint is fully extended and locked in
place will not result in any restrictions on
use.
O The child restraint system must not be put
under strain between the roof and the seat
cushion and/or be fitted facing the wrong
direction. Where possible, adjust the seat
cushion inclination accordingly.
O The child restraint system must not be put
under strain by the head restraint. Adjust
the head restraints as appropriate.
° When fitting an i‑Size child restraint sys‐
tem, also observe the following:
O When using a rearward-facing child
restraint system: adjust the front seat so
that it does not touch the child restraint sys‐
tem.
O When using a forward-facing child
restraint system: the backrest of the child
restraint system must lie as flat as possible
against the backrest of the vehicle seat.

i‑Size mounting bracket
Before every journey, make sure that the ISOFIX
child restraint system or the i‑Size child restraint
system is engaged correctly in both mounting
brackets in the vehicle.
Occupant safety

Make sure that the seat belt is not trap‐

ped.
Remove and stow away covers

Attach the ISOFIX or i‑Size child restraint sys‐
#
tem to both mounting brackets in the vehicle.
After removing the child seat, reattach cov‐
#
ers

Securing Top Tether
& WARNING Risk of injury or death if the
rear seat backrests are not locked after
Top Tether belts are fitted
The rear seat backrests may fold forwards
when you are driving.
As a result, child restraint systems will no
longer be able to perform their intended pro‐
tective function. This may also cause addi‐
tional injuries.
