vehicle occupants.
There is a risk of injury, particularly in the
event of sudden braking or a sudden change
in direction.
Always stow objects in such a way that

they cannot be thrown around.
Before the journey, secure objects, lug‐
#
gage or loads against slipping or tipping
over.
& WARNING Risk of injury due to objects
being stowed incorrectly
If objects in the vehicle interior are stowed
incorrectly, they can slide or be thrown
around and hit vehicle occupants. In addi‐
tion, cup holders, open stowage spaces and
mobile phone brackets cannot always retain
all objects they contain.
There is a risk of injury, particularly in the
event of sudden braking or a sudden change
in direction.
Always stow objects in such a way that

they cannot be thrown around in such
situations.
Always make sure that objects do not
#
protrude from stowage spaces, luggage
nets or stowage nets.
Close the lockable stowage spaces
#
before starting a journey.
Always stow and secure heavy, hard,
#
pointed, sharp-edged, fragile or bulky
objects in the boot.
& WARNING ‑ Risk of accident or injury
when using the cup holder while the
vehicle is in motion
The cup holder cannot hold a container
secure while the vehicle is in motion.
If you use a cup holder while the vehicle is in
motion, the container may be flung around
and liquids could be spilled. The vehicle
occupants may come into contact with the
liquid and if it is hot, they could be scalded.

You could be distracted from traffic condi‐
tions and you may lose control of the vehicle.
Only use the cup holder when the vehi‐
#
cle is stationary.
Only use the cup holder for containers
#
of the right size.
Always close the container, particularly
#
if the liquid is hot.
* NOTE Damage to the cup holder
When the rear armrest is folded back the cup
holder could become damaged.
Only fold the rear armrest back when
#
the cup holder is closed.
* NOTE Damage to the rear armrest due to
body weight
When folded out, the rear armrest can be
damaged by body weight.
Do not sit or support yourself on the
#
rear seat armrest.
