Diagnosis
General device error (see also section
5.3.2)
Internal memory defective
HART interface not available in the trans‐
mitter
PROFIBUS interface not available in the
transmitter
General software error
Magnetic field current fuse defective
Magnetic current cable defective (at ter‐
minals 5 and 6 in remote design)
Magnet coil defective
Reference coil improperly connected (ter‐
minals 55, 66)
Electronics defective
No measurement possible (group mes‐
sage)
Connected sensor without SmartPLUG or
defective SmartPLUG
General incorrect measurements, proc‐
ess errors or incorrect parameterization.
Remedy
Menu 2.1 Call device status
Replace complete electronics
Replace complete electronics
Do a restart (menu 6.4);
If error persists: have firmware reloaded (by serv‐
ice personnel), alternatively: replace complete
electronics
Change magnetic field current fuse (see section
6.3.1)
Check cable and change if necessary
Check on remote design:
Switch off device, disconnect magnetic field cur‐
rent cable, measure resistance at terminals 5 and
6 on sensor: setpoint: 8 ... 20 Ω.
Otherwise: change sensor
Check cable and replace if necessary
Change complete electronics
Change complete electronics
Check parameterization (range, unit etc.)
A correct measurement is still possible when the
calibration values CFH and ZPH match the values
on the rating plate of the sensor.
Check whether this is the case and correct if nec‐
essary under the menus 6.7.2 and 6.7.3
