Footbrake lever height

Adjusting the footbrake
lever height
NOTICE
After adjusting the footbrake
lever, the free travel of the
pushrod must be adjusted on the
brake pedal cylinder.
Loosen the screw 1.
Press down footbrake lever 2
and turn eccentric 3 until de-
sired footbrake lever 2 height is
reached.
Tighten bolt 1, making sure to
brace eccentric 3.

Joint compound: Lubricate
thread, Optimoly TA
4 lb/ft (5 Nm)
Check blow-by clearance a be-
tween eccentric 1 and stop 2.
Blow-by clearance of
footbrake lever
0.08 in (2 mm) (between ec-
centric and stop)
Blow-by clearance not correct
Adjust blow-by clearance.
Loosen nut 3 on pushrod 4.
Twist pushrod 4 until play on
brake lever is correct.
Counter nut 3 on pushrod 4.
Pushrod on brake pedal
cylinder
4 lb/ft (6 Nm)
