DTC

DTC setting
A setting for DTC is stored in
each module. This settings can
be adjusted to individual needs
both when parked and during
riding.
Adapt DTC
Requirement
Multifunction display must show
the rider view
Press MODE 1 to select

EBR 2.

Briefly press TC/EB+ 3 to in-
crease the value 5.
Briefly press TC/EB- 4 to re-
duce the value 5.
The set value 5 is shown in the
multifunction display and lies
between ­7 and +7:
+1 ... +7: reduction of the slip
on the rear wheel by a max-
imum of seven stages. The
value +7 corresponds to the
earliest DTC intervention.
­1 ... ­7: increase of the slip
on the rear wheel by a max-
imum of seven stages. The
value ­7 corresponds to the
latest DTC intervention.
DTC deactivation
On very loose surfaces (e.g. a
gravel bed at a racetrack) the
control interventions of the DTC
can reduce the drive power at
the rear wheel to such a degree
that the rear wheel no longer
turns sufficiently. In this case,
BMW Motorrad recommends
switching off the DTC temporar-
ily.
Note that the rear wheel will spin
on the loose surface, and close
the throttle in a timely manner
before reaching a solid surface.
Then switch on the DTC again.

EBR
