Care and Maintenance of
the Exposure-Only Cassette
To use the exposure-only cassette always in optimum condition, carry regular checks every
week.
Maintenance Task
Checking the surface grime and
Cleaning 
Checking the external damage
(open/close lock, corner block and
deformation of the frames of the
exposure-only cassette)
Checking the warp of the cassette
(back plate, front plate)
Action to be taken when the
Exposure-Only Cassette is damaged
● If the surface of the REGIUS Plate is seriously scratched, the protection sheet for the
fluorescent medium of the REGIUS Plate is scratched or torn, immediately stop using
and replace with a new one.
● If the exposure-only is deformed due to dropping, etc., it may cause trouble to the
exposed images. Immediately stop using and replace with a new one.
● When any artifact is found on the exposed image, check that scratches, dusts or
foreign substances are present on the surface of the REGIUS Plate. Carry out cleaning
of the plate. Make a test exposure after the cleaning, and check that the problem has
been solved. If the problem still resides causing difficulty in medical diagnosis, stop
using and replace with a new one.
Clean the surface with lint-free cloth
dampened in anhydrous ethanol.
If the damage is serious, stop using the
damage cassette and replace with a new
one.
If the warp is strong, stop using the
damage cassette and replace with a new
one.
