Test print can also be performed by removing the BOARD ASSY,

MAIN and shorting out the unmounted circuit pattern TPRINT
(lower left of P10) on the PWBA MCU. See
4. When the engine starts to print, detach the screwdriver from the circuit pattern.
A test pattern will be printed in single-sided print mode. (When a duplex unit is
installed, a test pattern will be printed in duplex print mode.)
Test print will not be performed unless papers are loaded in the
standard lower paper cassette or in the MP tray.
Test print will not be performed if the engine is in an error
state.
5. To check the operation of continuous printing, keep the circuit pattern shorted for
a while.
6. Secure the COVER OPTION with the two screw knurlings. (See
(p.154).)
