16.3 Media Specific Adjustments for the PRISMAsync Print Servers

The media specific adjustments are for customers who are running operations
from the PRISMAsync Print Server and want to precisely adjust the image quality
and front-to-back registration per paper type that is registered in the machine.
The following settings can be manually adjusted by customers through the Settings
Editor > Media > select a registered media type > Printer adjustment. However, if
media adjustments must be made, it is recommended to first use the Image
Location Wizard from the machine's operator panel.
The table below describes the Printer adjustment settings and each setting's

Make a fine adjustment to the punch hole position. Increase the

move the punch holes up.
Move the stitch position toward the intended center of the
booklet. Increase the value to shift the position to the right.
Decrease the value to shift the position to the left.
Adjust the position of the folds in a booklet, if the stitches appear
in the center of a booklet, but the folds do not appear in the
center.
Make a fine adjustment to the saddle stitch fold position.
Make a fine adjustment to the paper curl level when the output is
face down or face up in millimeters or inches.
Specify how to adjust the glossiness and fine black print on a
custom paper type.
Adjust to prevent the printed image from being misaligned
vertically, as seen from the paper feeding direction.
Adjust the fixing speed if long originals, envelopes, thin paper, or
paper that has absorbed moisture is being used to improve
paper curl and creasing.
Adjust the fixing pressure if adjusting the fixing speed did not
work.
Adjust the amount of air to improve the media separation in the
input trays. Decrease the value when the high-density areas are
not printed evenly, or when paper curl is exceptionally high due
to lack of moisture, media characteristics, and variable humidity.
Increase the value when paper jams occur frequently, or in case
of high-temperature and humidity conditions.
Adjust this setting if the image is blurred or a paper jam occurs in
the transfer unit. Decrease the antistatic bias value to remove
static electricity from the ITB.
Adjust the total amount of toner used for each paper type. Select
the check box to reduce the total amount of toner used.
Specify when automatic cleaning is not sufficient to remove the
toner residue from the transfer belt. Increase the value to
improve the conditions. If this does not work, decrease the
Secondary transfer voltage setting.
