How to Change Display Modes

The FCV-38 has five base screens, split beam, multi-beam, zoom, external sounder-
high frequency, and external sounder-low frequency. By combining screens you can
see underwater objects from a wide variety of viewpoints. For how to combine
screens, see section 4.7.8.

How to change the display mode for the FCV-38

Note: To change the display mode on the external fish finder window, see
section 1.21.1.
1. If the header is not displayed, put the cursor at the top edge of the display to show
it.
[Advanced Settings] menu.
Accesses the advanced settings menu, change various settings for the
FCV-38 and undo/redo actions.
[Internal Settings] menu.
Saves/Loads data to/from the Processor Unit's internal memory. See
section 1.28.
[Save Settings] icon: Saves current settings to media set to
the Processor Unit.*
[Load Settings] icon: Loads settings from the media set to the
Processor Unit.
*Eight sets of settings (
[External Settings] menu.
Saves/Loads data to/from an external memory device. See section 1.28.
[ Save External Unit Settings ] icon: Saves current settings to
an external memory device.
[ Load External Unit Settings ] icon: Loads settings from an
external memory device.
[Advanced Settings] icon.
Accesses the [Advanced Settings] pop-up menu.

[Undo] icon.
"Undo" the last operation. See section 1.29.
[Redo] icon.
"Redo" the last operation. See section 1.29.
[Select External Memory Device] icon.
Accesses the external memory device which saves screenshots. See
section 3.3.
Note: Appears only when an external memory device is connected.
