Note 3: Connect the external memory device to the USB port on the Processor Unit.
Do not connect the external memory device to the USB port on the Trackball Control
Unit.
Note 4: When an external memory device is connected and the capacity for the device
reaches its limit, recording is stopped and the message "Recording stopped because
memory capacity is full. Check capacity." appears.
Delete unnecessary files from the external memory device, or take other appropriate
measures to allow sufficient capacity to save the echo data.
Note 5: When the external memory device does not have sufficient memory to begin
data recording, and you attempt to record data, the message "Not enough memory to
start recording. Delete unnecessary files." appears.

Note 6: If the display mode does not include split beam when you attempt to record in
NetCDF4 format, you are informed that NetCDF4 recording cannot be started be-
cause the display mode is not SB (Split Beam). Change the display mode to SB then
click the [Record] button again.

How to play back recorded echo data

The playback function lets you view echo data you previously recorded. The display
mode used for playback should match the settings used when the echo data was re-
corded, or the echoes may not be displayed correctly.
Adjustments made to gain and other echo settings are not reflected to the echo data
being played back.
To play back recorded echo data, do the following:
1. Click the [Echo Recording] icon (
