I n t his m ode, t he print er aut om at ically calculat es t he 'ALI GN LENGTH' t hus elim inat ing t he need t o
physically m easure t he label. This m ode is usually preferred in applicat ions t hat require frequent
m edia changes t o labels of different lengt hs.
To perform an Aut o Alignm ent , in Norm al Mode press and hold t he FEED but t on ( about 4
seconds) . The print er w ill feed labels t o calculat e t he label lengt h. Following t he calculat ion, t he
print er will save t he m easurem ent and align t o t he t op of form posit ion. Aut o Alignm ent can result
in wast ed labels during t he m easurem ent process ( t he longer t he label lengt h t he great er t he
wast e) .

I f t he print er is equipped wit h t he Present Sensor opt ion and t hat feat ure is enabled, while t he
label lengt h is calculat ed t he print er w ill pause and illum inat e t he STOP light aft er each
m ovem ent . The operat or m ust press t he PAUSE but t on for t he alignm ent t o cont inue. This allows
t he operat or t o rem ove any labels as required; however, labels should not be forcibly rem oved
since t hey m ay not act ually be posit ioned for rem oval, but at an int erim posit ion required for
m easurem ent .

When Label Alignm ent is not enabled ( i.e., set t o NO) , print ing begins at t he current label posit ion
wit hout alignm ent , assum ing t he label is at t he st art of print posit ion. Addit ionally, if t he label
lengt h is short , labels bet ween t he print head and t he m edia sensor m ay be unused.
