Daily Operation
This chapter describes the daily operations required for operating this system.
Items to be verified
• None of the hardware has failed
• No major errors have occurred during operation
• All maintenance operations have been performed successfully
• There is sufficient capacity remaining
When to verify
• Periodically
- Once a day (recommended)
• After receiviing an e-mail indicating abnormal status (an e-mail having the
following subjects)
- PetaServe Maintenance Report (« FAILURES ) or « WARNING ))
- PetaServe Alert messages
• After noticing a system malfunction
- When you can no longer read files from the system
- When the ALARM/ERROR indicator lights on the hardware
(Begin by checking the contents of "Troubleshooting" (page 71).)
