SECTION 3 - MACHINE CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
1.
Boom Control System Warning Indicator
Indicates the platform is outside the operating
area and operation of certain boom functions
may be disabled (i.e. lift, telescope). Attempts
to use the disabled functions cause the indicator to flash and
an alarm to sound. Immediately return the platform to the
ground. If the indicator remains lit, a boom control system
fault or failure has been detected. If a failure is discovered,
the system must be repaired by a JLG factory trained techni-
cian before the machine can be used.
2.
System Distress Indicator
The light indicates that the JLG Control System
has detected an abnormal condition and a
Diagnostic Trouble Code has been set in the
system memory. Refer to the Service Manual for instructions
concerning the trouble codes and trouble code retrieval.
3.
Drive Orientation Indicator
When the boom is swung beyond the rear
drive tires or further in either direction, the
Drive Orientation indicator will illuminate
when the drive function is selected. This is a signal for the
operator to verify that the drive control is being operated in
the proper direction (i.e. controls reversed situations).
3-22
4.
Capacity Zone Indicator
Indicates the maximum platform capacity
zone for the current position of the platform.
Restricted
capacities
restricted platform positions (shorter boom
lengths and higher boom angles).
NOTE:
Refer to the capacity decals on the machine for
restricted and unrestricted platform capacities.
