Troubleshooting

Refer to related manual section for additional
information on standard components used on the
system.
Shot Meter Operating Pressures
Refer to Fig. 32
The DC12 is a continuous volumetric metering
pump. The inlet and outlet pressures can give an
indication the status of the system.
pressures show if there is sufficient material supply
to reliably reload the pumps. The metering pumps
dispense and reload material on both sides of the
stroke.
The A Supply Ram provides the primary drive force
for the metering pump. The B Supply Rams function
is to supply enough material to keep up with the flow
provided by the A Supply Ram. Refer to Table 1 for
recommended air pressure settings and resulting
flow rates. The following are guidelines when using
the pressure to monitor the systems performance:
1. A material inlet pressure should be greater
that the B material inlet pressure.
2. A material inlet pressure should be balanced
with the A material outlet material pressure.
Normal pressure drop from inlet to outlet on
the A side will vary between 200-400 psi
(1.37Mpa, 13.7 Bar- 2.75 Mpa, 27.5 Bar)
3. B material inlet pressure should be no more
than double the B material outlet pressure.
Systems installed with the Performance Monitor Plus
controls can be set up to monitor inlet and outlet
pressures for A and B components.
Performance Monitor Plus section in this manual.
Supply Ram Air Pressures
Refer to Fig. 24
Equipment air supply pressure must always stay
above the motor regulator set point. If Air motor
regulator displays large pressure drops while
dispensing then supply air must be increased, or
flow rate must be reduced.
