Use the following information from the LEDs located on the front of a drive to diagnose its
status.

redundant mode.
• The minimum fan requirements

Description
The drive has failed or a predictive
failure alert has been received for this
drive.
The drive is operating normally.
A predictive failure alert has been
received for this drive; replace the drive
as soon as possible.
The drive is online, but is not currently
active.
Caution:
Do not remove the drive; removing a
drive might terminate the current
operation and/or cause data loss.
The drive is part of an array that is
undergoing capacity expansion or
stripe mitigation, but a predictive failure
alert has been received for this drive. To
minimize the risk of data loss, do not
