according to UN/ECE Regulation no. 16 or
other equivalent standards.
5. If in doubt, consult either the child re-
straint manufacturer or the retailer.
3. RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
REGARDING THE USE OF THE PRODUCT
AND CAR SEAT
WARNING! Strictly complies with the fol-
lowing restrictions and requirements for use
concerning the product and vehicle's seat:
safety will not be guaranteed otherwise.
• This child car seat is approved for use
only for children between 9 and 36 kg of
weight (from 9/12 months up to about 12
years of age).
• The vehicle's seat must be equipped with
3-point safety belt, whether static or with
winder, approved according to UN/ECE
Regulation no. 16 or other equivalent
standards (Fig. 1).
WARNING!
In case of use in vehicles equipped with rear seat
belts with integrated airbags (inflatable belts):
- In Gr. 1 (9-18 kg) the interaction of the in-
flatable portion of the vehicle's belt with
this child restraint can result in serious
injury or death! Do not install this child
restraint using an inflatable seat belt.
- In Gr. 2/3 (15-36 kg) Follow the vehicle ma-
nufacturer's instructions for use of inflata-
ble seat belt with the child restrain system.
• Never fit the child car seat to a seat that
is only equipped with a 2-point safety belt
(Fig. 2).
• The child car seat can be fitted on the front
passenger seat or any other back seat.
Never use this Car seat rear facing on any
vehicle's seat (Fig. 3).
• This product is expressly intended to be
used only as a child car seat; it should not
be used indoors.
• To ensure correct installation, check that
the car seat headrest does not interfere
with the child seat's backrest.
• Make sure that the buckle of the car's three-
point belt is not too far up. Otherwise, try
to install the car seat on another seat. (Fig.
10 and 31).
4. FITTING THE CHILD CAR SEAT IN
THE CAR AND SEATING THE CHILD IN
GROUP 1 (9-18 KG)
WARNING! The text and figures of these in-
structions are for the installation of the child
car seat on the right back seat. To fit the
child car seat in other positions, carry out
these operations in the same order.
1. Place the child car seat onto the chosen
forward-facing car seat (Fig. 4).
WARNING! Check that the car seat headrest
does not interfere with the baby car seat: it
must not push it forward (Fig. 5).
2. Remove the reducer cushion by releasing
it from the belt passages (Fig. 6 - 6A) and
divide the two holes as shown in Fig. 6B.
3. Remove the lining of the backrest (Fig. 7),
make the diagonal section of the seat belt
pass between the headrest and backrest
(Fig. 8). Fit the 3-point belt in belt slot M
(Fig. 9) making it come out of the oppo-
site slot (Fig. 9A).
4. Fasten the car safety belt in the buckle so
that both the waist and the diagonal sec-
tions of the belt pass under the red belt
routing L (Fig. 10).
5. Pull the car safety belt firmly, ensuring
that the child car seat adheres correctly
to the car seat (Fig. 11).
6. Check that the child car seat is fitted
firmly in place and adheres correctly to
the vehicle seat; check that the seat belt
is tight. If the child car seat is not tightly
and safely fitted into the car seat, repeat
the installation.
WARNING!
• Always check that the safety belt is distrib-
uted evenly and that it is not twisted.
• NEVER fit the car safety belt in any other
way not illustrated in these instructions.
When the child car seat is fitted correctly, fol-
low the instructions below to seat the child:
7. Press the restraint harnesses adjustment
button H and, at the same time hold and
pull the lower part of the child seat straps
in your direction as far as possible (Fig. 12).
8. Unfasten the child car seat restraint har-
ness, pressing the button on the buckle
and move them to the sides (Fig. 13)
