Assigning an IP address to the management port

Assign an IP address to the management port to use it for out-of-band (OOB) management.
The standby IP must be in the same subnet as the master IP. Create a virtual management
port in addition to the physical management ports on the switch management modules.
Procedure steps
1. In the Device Physical View, select the management port.
2. In the navigation tree, open the following folders: Configuration > Edit.
3. Click Mgmt Port.
4. In the Addr box, type the required IP address for the management port.
5. In the Mask box, type the subnet mask.
6. Click Apply.
7. In the Device Physical View, select the chassis.
8. In the navigation tree, open the following folders: Configuration > Edit.
9. Click Chassis.
10. In the VirtualIPAddr box, enter the IP address you want to configure as the virtual

12. Click Apply.
