5. Troubleshooting
Message
"Failed to send the e-mail. The
following are possible causes."
"Failed to connect to the SMTP
server."
"Failed to authenticate with the
SMTP server."
"The operation to connect to the
SMTP server has timed out."
"There is an incorrect entry."
"Try again after checking the email
address."
"No file has been selected."
"Try again after selecting a file."
"Failed to initialize."
"Please call service."
"The USB memory is not
connected."
"Failed to remove the USB
memory."

Cause
• The network cable is not
connected or
disconnected.
• Network setting (DNS
etc.) has an error.
• Setting (an IP address/
host address) of the mail
server has an error.
• Attestation setting (the
existence of attestation,
account, password) of a
mail server has an error.
The input mail address does
not exist.
File is not chosen at the time of
the saving to a USB memory.
A certain internal error
occurred at the time of
initialization execution of the
application for administrators.
USB memory is not connected. Connect a USB memory.
The program accessing the file
in the USB memory exists.
Solution
• Check whether the
network cable is
connected and not
disconnected.
• Check the network set
menu in the administrator
set menu.
• Check the transmitting e-
mail server setting from
the administrator set
menu.
Check whether a mail address
is correct.
Perform again after choosing
a file.
Acquire a log and setup
information (package
collection of a log and the
setup information can be
carried out from the
"Beginning of system log"
button of the administrator set
menu).
Attach the acquired log file,
and request for an analysis to
the technical support line.
Remove it again after ending
the program accessing the file
in the USB memory.
