  • Page 7 Model K-C3.5L How does it Work? Position Sensors and Reflecting Plates 3 reflecting plates are attached to the right, left, and bottom sides of the LCD panel. Reflecting plates reflect light to the same direction of the incident light emitted from the right and left position sensors. When the pen tip contacts the surface of the LCD panel, light reflected to the position sensors from the 3 reflecting plates is intercepted.
  • Page 8 Model K-C3.5L How does it Work? Range of Light Emitted and Reflected Right and left position sensors emit light and receive light reflected from the reflecting plates. Lines in blue show the range of light emitted from the position sensors. Lines in red show the range of light reflected from the reflecting plates.
  • Page 9 Model K-C3.5L How does it Work? Writing and Erasing Infrared rays of a different spectrum are emitted from the tip and the eraser of the electronic pen. The right and left position sensors detect the spectrum to determine whether the pen is writing or erasing.
