3.7.3 ANX Wiring Requirements
Table 3.7.3.1 lists the wiring requirements for the ANX-SR, ANX-MR-FO and ANX-MR-UTP
sub-assemblies.
Circuit Type Circuit Function Wire Requirements
EIA-232 Connects to Printers,
(power-limited) CRT, or PC.
ARCNET Provides the interface
(power-limited) between network
nodes. ARCNET
should be installed in
a separate conduit.
Ethernet Data Communications CAT5
(See Note 2)
NOTE 1: The lightning arresters are required on circuits extending between buildings; 999 meter length maximum
to meet UL 1459.
NOTE 2: The PNET1GB Ethernet circuit protector is required for permanent connections (for example, FocalPoint).
3.7.4 FocalPoint Gateway-3 Wiring
The FocalPoint Gateway panel wiring information and diagrams are included in the FocalPoint
Gateway-3 Installation & Operation Manual. For information on the wiring and operation of the
FocalPoint Gateway-3 panel, refer to the FocalPoint Gateway-3 Installation & Operation Manual,
P/N 53553.
