Overview of the Installation Procedure

Step 1. Obtain a Keyword and Verify the Information.
Step 2. Remove the Outer and Inner Covers.
Step 3. Remove the Front Panel Assembly.
Step 4. Remove the 20 GHz Bottom Cables.
Step 5. Remove the Test Set Deck Front Panel.
Step 6. Remove the 20 GHz Top to Bottom Cables.
Step 7. Remove the 20 GHz Components.
Step 8. Install the 50 GHz Components.
Step 9. Install the 50 GHz Top to Bottom Cables.
Step 10. Install the New Test Set Deck Front Panel.
Step 11. Install the 50 GHz Bottom Cables.
Step 12. Replace the Nameplate.
Step 13. Reinstall the Front Panel Assembly.
Step 14. Reinstall the Inner and Outer Covers.
Step 15. Enable Option F40.
Step 16. Perform Post-Upgrade Adjustments.
Step 1. Obtain a Keyword and Verify the Information
Follow the instructions on the Option Entitlement Certificate supplied to obtain a license key
for installation of this upgrade. Refer to "License Key Redemption" on page 4.
Verify that the model number, serial number, and option number information on the license
key match those of the instrument on which this upgrade will be installed.
If the model number, serial number, or option number do not match those on your license key,
you will not be able to install the option. If this is the case, contact Agilent for assistance
before beginning the installation of this upgrade. Refer to "Contacting Agilent" on page 3.
Once the license key has been received and the information verified, you can proceed with the
installation at step 2.
