Option Installation
Introduction
Introduction
This chapter describes the procedure to install Option 017 into the E5070B/E5071B. The
procedure consists of the following items.

TORX Screwdriver, T8, T10, T15, and T20
Hardware Installation
Refer to Figure 2-2, Figure 2-3, and Figure 2-4 for this procedure.
Step 1. Remove the outer cover.
Step 2. Remove the two TORX T10 screws (item 1) fastening the A27 mass storage disk drive
assembly.
Step 3. Disconnect the three cables connected to the A27 assembly, and lift the A27 assembly.
Step 4. Remove the four TORX T10 screws (item 2), and remove the mass storage disk drive from
the A27 assembly.
Step 5. Remove two TORX T10 screws (item 3) fastening the handler I/O bracket on rear panel.
Step 6. Pull the bracket with handler I/O board only a little.
Step 7. Remove two TORX T10 screws (item 4) fastening the handler I/O bracket, and remove the
bracket from the handler I/O board.
Step 8. Fasten the new bracket using the two TORX T10 screws to the handler I/O board.
Step 9. Fasten the new bracket with the handler I/O board using the two TORX T10 screws to the
rear panel.
Step 10. Connect the power cable (item 5) to the removable hard disk assembly.
Twist the flat cable (item 5) and connect to the removable hard disk assembly.
Replace the wire connected to the Oven assembly with the new wire, and connect it (item
5) to the removable hard disk assembly.
Step 11. Fasten the removable hard disk assembly with angle to chassis using the five TORX T10
screws (item 6).
