Fixed fan failure

The S5800-56C, S5800-56C-PWR, S5800-32C-PWR, and S5800-32C switches use fixed fans. If a
fixed fan failure occurs, contact your H3C sales agent or service engineer for help and do not attempt to
fix the problem yourself.

Hot swappable fan tray failure

The S5800-60C-PWR, S5800-32F, and S5800-54S switches use hot swappable fan trays. You can
follow the procedures described in the section
tray.
CAUTION:
You can replace a hot swappable fan tray without powering off the device. To prevent overheat, replace
the failed fan tray within 2 minutes for the S5800-60C-PWR and S5800-32F switches.
CAUTION:
The S5800-54S switch requires two same direction air flow fan trays to function correctly.
Do not operate the system with only one fan tray for more than 24 hours.
Do not operate the system without any fan tray for more than 2 minutes.
Do not operate the system outside of the temperature range 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 1 13°F) degrees.
Failure to comply with these operating requirements may void the warranty.

Configuration terminal problems

If the configuration environment setup is correct, the configuration terminal displays boot information
when the switch is powered on. If the setup is incorrect, the configuration terminal displays nothing or
garbled text.
