The windshield is held in the
upper or lower end positions
by spring force.
Reposition windshield
The windshield can be fas-
tened on the motorcycle in two
different positions.
Remove all screws 2 and take
off windshield 1 to reposition
the windshield.
Position windshield on corre-
sponding hole 3 while watching
bushing 4 (inserted from be-
low) and rubber grommet 5.
Screw in all four screws 6.

2 lb/ft (2.4 Nm)

Headlight

Headlight range and
spring setting
The headlight range generally
remains constant due to the ad-
justment of the spring setting to
the loading state.
Only with a very heavy payload
can adjustment of the spring set-
ting be insufficient. If that is the
case, the headlight range must
be adapted to the weight.
NOTICE
If there are doubts as to the cor-
rect headlight range, have the
adjustment checked by a spe-
cialized workshop, preferably by
an authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
