The display shows the cursor at the point in which the fax
number is to be entered.

•
a number is already stored under this key, it will appear on
the display.

Enter 780249 and press START.
IF...
•
a previously programmed fax number is displayed, overwrite it
with the new number.
•
you make a mistake when entering the number, you can move
the cursor back to an incorrect digit by pressing < and then
enter the correct digit.
•
you want to delete the entire fax number press CLEAR.
•
the new number is shorter than the previously entered
number, first delete the previous number by pressing CLEAR.
•
special functions are required, see the Special Dialling
Functions procedures.
7.
Confirm the proposed transmission speed by pressing START.

Confirm that the number is an overseas number by pressing
START.
Selecting ON for the overseas option reduces the echo effect of
overseas lines.

a name is already programmed for this key, it will be
displayed.

Enter "Jones" from the keypad in the way described in the
heading Station name and number in the section BASIC
FUNCTIONS , then confirm by pressing START.
The name of the destination party has no effect as regards
dialling but is useful as a reminder of who the number refers to.

a previously programmed name is displayed, simply overwrite
it with the new name.
•
you wish to return to the initial state of the fax machine, press
STOP.
