AUTOREDIAL

Autoredial occurs when a document fails to be sent either because the destination number is engaged or
because of some error condition.
Redialling may occur in two ways:
Automatically by the fax machine
Manually by pressing REDIAL
Autoredial may occur in the following conditions:
Destination number originally dialled manually from the fax machine keypad, without previously
pressing HOOK.
Destination number originally dialled automatically (one touch or speed dial).
Autoredial will not occur in the following conditions:
Destination number originally dialled from the telephone.
Destination number originally dialled from the fax machine keypad after having pressed HOOK.
This heading describes how the fax machine automatically redials a number and how the user can make a
further attempt at connection by pressing REDIAL.
c
An attempt at transmission has failed following manual or automatic dialling (see conditions above).
The document is still in the ADF ready for transmission.
1.
With the document inserted in the ADF, the display shows
AUTOREDIAL and a seconds counter which will progressively
count down until it reaches zero.
2.
When the seconds counter is reset to zero, the machine redials
the destination number (e.g. 123456) to make a further attempt
at connection.
3.
After dialling, the machine will attempt connection. The display
shows the destination number, or, if programmed, the name of
the destination party. The machine then transmits the document.
On
completion
"TRANSMISSION COMPLETED" is displayed, followed by the
operating mode.
