Installation Overview
This section contains basic installation procedures.

Before starting, download (www.extron.com) and install the latest versions of the
following software:
Global Configurator Plus and Professional (GC) — For configuring button

actions and functions of the interface.
NOTES:
•
Global Configurator Plus and Professional operates in either Plus mode or
Professional mode.
•
Global Configurator Professional access requires Extron Control
Professional certification.
Global Scripter (GS) — This is an alternative to Global Configurator Plus and
•
Professional for programming the button actions and functions of the interface.
GUI Designer — For designing or adjusting LCD screen layouts.
•
You might also want to download a customized system template. Extron has created a
number of system templates, available for free from the
the Extron website. Each template is customized for use with a specific model of audio
or video conferencing codec. It includes the driver for the codec, a GUI layout template
for the CCI Pro 700, and configurations for the buttons and screen.
Obtain the following network information from your network administrator:
DHCP status (on or off) — If DHCP is off, obtain the following:

IP address
•
Subnet mask
•
Gateway
•
Mount and cable the units:

Mount the unit on a flat surface (see

Remove the CCI Pro 700 from the base to access the rear panel (see

Route an Ethernet cable through the opening in the base (see
page 10).
d.
Connect an Ethernet cable from the network to the interface (see

NOTE: If necessary, use a power injector along the Ethernet cable run to apply
power.

Attach the base to the rear panel of the interface.
