4.4 Saving Your Configuration

When you are done modifying the settings in a screen, click Apply to save your changes back to the
run-time memory. Settings in the run-time memory are lost when the NSW's power is turned off.
Click the Save link in the upper right hand corner of the web configurator to save your configuration to
nonvolatile memory. Nonvolatile memory refers to the NSW's storage that remains even if the NSW's
power is turned off.

This link takes you to a screen that displays general system information.
This link takes you to a screen where you can configure the DHCP client, and a static IP address
(IP address and subnet mask).
This link takes you to a screen where you can configure settings for individual NSW ports.
This link takes you to screens where you can configure port-based or 802.1Q VLAN. You can
also configure a protocol based VLAN or a subnet based VLAN in these screens.
This link takes you to a screen where you can view and search all VLAN groups.
This link takes you to a screen where you can view detailed port settings and status of the VLAN
group.
This link takes you to a screen where you can configure and view 802.1Q VLAN parameters for
the NSW.
This link takes you to a screen where you can configure the static VLAN settings on a port.
This link takes you to screens where you can perform firmware and configuration file mainte-
nance as well as reboot the system.
Use this to remove the running configuration of the device. This does not remove the username,
password, system logs and memory logs.
Use this to save your current configuration settings on one of two configuration files.
Use this to reboot the system and select which configuration you want to use. You can restore
factory default settings upon reboot.
