At the Ground Controls
1 Select a test area that is firm, level and free of
obstruction.
2 Turn the key switch to ground control.
3 Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the
on position.
Result: The beacons (if equipped) should
flash.
4 Start the engine. See Operating Instructions
section.
Test Emergency Stop
5 Push in the red Emergency Stop button to the
off position.
Result: The engine should shut off and no
functions should operate.
6 Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the
on position and restart the engine.

Test the Machine Functions and the
Platform Capacity Selection
7 Do not move and hold
the platform capacity
select/function enable
switch. Attempt to
activate each boom and
platform function toggle
switch.
Result: No boom and platform functions should
operate.
8 Move and hold the platform capacity
select/function enable switch to select 500 lbs /
227 kg platform capacity. Activate each boom
and platform function toggle switch.
Result: All boom and platform functions should
operate through a full cycle. The descent
alarm should sound while the boom is
lowering.
9 Move and hold the platform capacity
select/function enable switch to select 1000 lbs
/ 454 kg platform capacity. Raise and extend
the boom.
10 Move and hold the platform capacity
select/function enable switch to select 1000 lbs
/ 454 kg platform capacity. Lower the boom.
Result: The boom should stop part way down.
11 Move and hold the platform capacity
select/function enable switch to select 1000 lbs
/ 454 kg platform capacity. Retract the boom.
12 Retract the boom to continue and then fully
retract and lower the boom.
