LED: Is LED on cruise control unit ON?
OFF
CRUISE CONTROL
UNIT: Turn crUise set
switch OFF. After 5-6
seconds. again turn
cruise set switch ON.
Are LED's still ON?
OFF
ON
• Faulty cruise control
unit.
WIRING: Check for continuity between G
terminal of ECU and body guard.
No Continuity
• Open circuit in wire harness.
Continuity
CANCEL SWITCHES: With ignition and
cruise SWitches ON, check if there
IS
battery voltage between Sr/R (+) and G
(-) terminals of ECU coupler.

Voltage
• Improperly adjusted or faulty front
brake. rear brake, or throttle grip
cancel switch or open circuit in wire
o
Volts harness.
• Loose or impropeny connected
terminals.
Note: ChecK that front brake and front
brake cancel switches are connected
properly.
POWER TO RELAY: With Ignition switch
and cruise sWitch ON. check that there
IS
battery I/oltage between Gi81 (+) and G
(-I
terminals of ECU coupler.

Valve Relay (see
page 13-13).

• Faulty relay
