• Select an appropriate cleaning method according to the condition of the cooling system as shown below.
Ordinary condition
Flushing with water
Drain out coolant
Pour tap water (preferably hot) into the surge tank.
Let the engine idle for 10 minutes with the water
at approximately 90°C.
Drain out water
Cleaning is complete if drained water is clear
Repeat procedure if drained water is not clear
CAUTION
After cleaning the cooling system using cleaning so-
lution, fill it with coolant containing the specified ad-
ditive as soon as possible.
To prevent freezing of the coolant and corrosion of
the cooling system, add the specified portion of
FUSO DIESEL LONGLIFE COOLANT to the coolant.
(See the Owner's Handbook for instructions on the
use of the additive.)
DANGER
• If you accidentally splash FUSO DIESEL LONGLIFE COOLANT or RADIATOR ANTIRUST (RADIPET9) in
your eyes, wash it out immediately with water and seek medical attention.
WARNING
• FUSO DIESEL LONGLIFE COOLANT is flammable. Keep it away from heat and flames.
Coolant extremely dirty
Cleaning using FUSO RADIATOR CLEANER (RADIPET-7)
Drain out coolant
Make water solution of FUSO RADIATOR CLEANER
(RADIPET-7) at 5 to 10% concentration in volume.
Pour solution into reservoir tank.
Let the engine idle for 30 minutes with the water at approxi-
mately 90°C.
CAUTION
Limit the engine idling period to one hour. Operating
an engine containing the cleaning solution for long-
er time may lead to damage of the cooling system.
