Performing
Edgebanding
Operations
Once all initial setup is complete, performing the
edgebanding operation is a relatively simple and
quick procedure.
The G0825 can perform edgebanding operations
on inside curves (see Figure 18) and curves.
Any curved workpiece you intend to edgeband
with an inside curve must have a radius no small-
er than 1" (see Figure 18).

It is always best to start with a test piece of the
same material and dimensions as your intended
workpiece in order to verify all of your settings are
correct.
For long workpieces that extend beyond the
length of your worktable, it may be helpful to have
an assistant support the workpiece during opera-
tions.
Note: Pre-cut edgebanding tape 4" longer than
workpiece length to allow for accurate trimming
after operation.
We highly recommend using the Grizzly T1189
Dual End Cutter (see Accessories on Page 27)
to easily achieve precise seam alignment.
To perform an edgebanding operation:
1.
Read and follow all safety and initial setup
instructions described earlier in this manual.
2.
Inspect workpiece to make sure it is suitable
for edgebanding.

Check/add glue to glue pot (refer to Page 18).
4.
Ensure height of infeed guide is set for width
of edgebanding tape (refer to Page ???).
5.
Level guide plate and set guide plate height
according to workpiece thickness (see Pages
20–21).
6.
Turn master power switch ON, and press
heater unit ON/OFF button (
panel to preheat glue pot.
7.
Once glue pot reaches proper preset tem-
perature for glue application, press feed
roller ON/OFF button on control handle (see
Figure 19) to start rollers.
Note: We recommend testing edgeband-
er settings on a practice workpiece similar
to actual workpiece before committing the
edgebanding tape for your project.

8.
Feed edgebanding into infeed guide until
infeed rollers grab edgebanding. Press feed
roller ON/OFF button to stop edgebanding
before glue is applied.
