Troubleshooting

Problem
The quick couplers are difficult to
connector disconnect.
The power steering moves hard.
The hydraulic fitting leaks.
An attachment does not function.
A squealing noise is heard.
The engine does not start.
The transmission is hard to shift.
The clutch engagement is abrupt.
Possible Cause
1. The hydraulic pressure not relieved
(the quick coupler is under pressure).
1. The hydraulic-fluid level is low.
2. The hydraulic fluid is hot.
3. The hydraulic pump not operating.
1. The fitting is loose.
2. The hydraulic fitting is missing an
O-ring.
1. The quick couplers are not fully
connected.
2. The quick couplers are interchanged.
1. The Hydraulic-lift lever is locked in the
O
position (causing hydraulic fluid to
N
flow over the relief valve).
1. The hydraulic-lift lever is locked in the
O
position.
N
1. The engine-idle rpm is set too fast.
2. The clutches are dirty.
1. The engine idle is too slow.
2. The belt is new.
3. The accelerator pedal free play is too
large.
4. The clutched are dirty.

Corrective Action
1. Shut off the engine, move the
hydraulic-lift lever forward and
backward several times, and connect
the quick couplers for the fittings in the
auxiliary hydraulic panel.
1. Service the hydraulic reservoir.
2. Check the hydraulic-fluid level and
service if it is low. Contact you
Authorized Service Dealer.
3. Contact you Authorized Service
Dealer.
1. Tighten the fitting.
2. Install the missing O-ring.
1. Disconnect the quick couplings,
remove and debris from the couplings,
connect the couplings. Replace any
damaged couplings.
2. Disconnect the quick couplings, align
the couplings to the correct ports on
the auxiliary hydraulic panel, connect
the couplings.
1. Set the hydraulic-lift lock to the U
position and move the hydraulic-lift
lever to N
.
EUTRAL
1. Set the hydraulic-lift lock to the U
position, move the hydraulic-lift lever to
N
, and start the engine.
EUTRAL
1. Adjust the engine low idle to 1,250 to
1,350 rpm.
2. Clean the clutches.
1. Adjust the engine low idle to 1,250 to
1,350 rpm.
2. Allow 10 hours of normal operation for
the belt break-in period.
3. Adjust the accelerator pedal.
4. Clean the clutches.
