Remove the fuel pump unit ( page 7

Connect the ohmmeter
to
the
fuel
pump unit 3 P ( Black )
connector [ 1 ] terminals
.
CONNECTION : Red / black - Black / white
Inspect the resistance of the float [ 2 ] at the top and
bottom positions
.

FUEL METER INSPECTION
If the fuel meter blinks as shown [
1 ]
with ignition switch
is ON
,
perform the inspection as follow :
Disconnect
the
combination
meter

connector

Disconnect the
fuel pump
unit 3 P ( Black ) connector
( page 7

.
Check for continuity between the combination meter

P (Gray) connector [ 2 ] and
fuel
pump unit 3 P ( Black )
connector [ 3 ] of the wire harness side
.
CONNECTION : Black /green - Black / green
If there is no continuity , check
for
open circuit in Black /
green wire and loose contact of the wire harness
connectors
.
If the Black /green wire is OK , check the
fuel
level
sensor

fuel level sensor is OK , replace
the
combination
meter
.
