NOTE
:
If the
PCM is replaced ,
perform the Clutch Initialize Learning Procedure ( page 12

Recheck
DTC
Erase the DTCs ( page 4

Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch

Check the bank angle sensor with the MCS
.
Is about 0 V indicated ?

GO TO STEP 2

NO
-
Intermittent failure
Bank Angle Sensor Power Input Line Short Circuit Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF
.
Disconnect
the
bank angle sensor 2 P ( Black )
connector ( page 4
-
33 )
.
Check for continuity between the bank angle sensor
2 P ( Black ) connector [ 1 ] of the wire harness side
and ground
.
Connection : Black - Ground
Is there continuity ?
YES
-
GO TO STEP 3
.
NO
-
Short circuit in the Black wire

Bank Angle Sensor Output Line Short Circuit Inspection
Disconnect the following :
-
ECM 33 P (
Black ) connector ( page 4
-
34 )
(
CTX
700 / A / N / NA )
-
PCM 33 P ( Gray ) connector ( page 4
-
34 )
( CTX 700 D / ND )
Check for continuity between the bank angle sensor
2 P (
Black
) connector [ 1
] of the wire harness side
and ground
.
Connection : Black / blue
- Ground
Is there continuity ?
YES
-
Short
circuit in
the Black / blue wire
NO
-
GO TO STEP 4
.
Bank Angle Sensor Inspection
Replace the bank angle sensor with a known good
one

.
Connect the following :
-
Bank angle sensor 2 P
( Black
) connector
-
ECM /PCM 33 P connector
Erase the DTCs ( page 4
-
9 )
.
Turn the ignition switch ON
.
Check the bank angle sensor with the MCS
.
Is DTC 54
-
1
indicated
?
YES
-
Replace the ECM/PCM with a known good
one
, and recheck
.
NO
-
Faulty original bank angle
sensor
