NOTE :
• Before starting
the inspection , check for loose or
poor contact on the VS sensor 3
P ( Black ) and PCM
33 P ( Black ) connector , and recheck the DTC
.
If the PCM is replaced , perform the Clutch Initialize
Learning Procedure ( page 12
-

Erase the DTCs (

.
Test
-
ride the motorcycle above 18 km / h ( 11 mph )
for more than 30 seconds
.
Stop the engine
.
Check the DTC with the MCS
,
Is DTC 66 - 1 indicated ?
YES
-
GO TO STEP 2
.
NO
-
Intermittent failure

VS Sensor Pulse Inspection
Support the motorcycle securely and raise the
rear
wheel off the ground
.
Disconnect the PCM 33 P ( Black )
connector
( page 4
-
34 ) .
Turn the
ignition switch
ON
and engine stop switch
" O " .
Measure the voltage between the PCM 33 P ( Black )
connector [ 1 ] and ground while slowly turning the
rear wheel by hand
.
Connection : A 32 (

Standard :

Test probe , 2 packs

Is the indicated voltage at
the
standard value
?
YES
-
Replace the PCM with a known good one
,
and recheck .

Turn the ignition switch OFF .
Disconnect the VS sensor 3 P ( Black ) connector

Turn the ignition switch ON .
Measure the voltage between the wire harness side

Connection : Pink / blue (
