■ The components used must be resist-
ant to the heat transfer medium (never
use galvanised pipes for the brine cir-
cuit).
■ To ensure the perfect operation of the
brine circuit, route pipes so that air
pockets cannot form and that com-
plete venting is ensured.
■ Equip the brine circuit, in line with
DIN 4757, with an expansion vessel
and a safety valve.
Connections on the secondary side (heating circuits)
Connect the heating circuit in accordance with the following figure.

(cont.)
■ The expansion vessel must be
approved in accordance with
DIN 4807. The diaphragms and seals
of the expansion vessel and the safety
valve must be suitable for the heat
transfer medium.
For calculating the pre-charge pres-
sure of the expansion vessel, see the
technical guide for the relevant heat
pump.
■ Ensure adequate thermal and sound
insulation of all pipes routed through
walls.
■ Insulate lines inside the building to pro-
vide protection from heat and vapour
diffusion.
■ Blow-off and drainage lines must con-
verge in one container that can hold
the maximum possible expansion vol-
ume of the heat transfer medium.
■ Fill the brine circuit with Viessmann
heat transfer medium.
