Connected Number of Sensors Setting
Registers the number of Sensors connected. By setting the number of Sensors, errors
can be detected in the network configuration.
The maximum number of Fiber Amplifier Units that can be connected is 14, so an error
will occur if the number of Sensors is set to 15 or 16.
Note Fiber Amplifier Units (E3X-DA6TW and E3X-DA8TW) that are allocated two unit
numbers must be counted as two Units when counting the number of connected
Sensors.

Pin 1: Operating Mode
This pin sets the operating mode. The maximum number of Fiber Amplifier
Units that can be connected and the number of allocated nodes depends on
the operating mode, as shown in the following table.

Color Display
Red Lit An error has occurred in the Unit.
Not lit The Unit is communicating normally or on
standby.
Green Lit The Sensors are communicating.
Red Lit A Sensor communications error has
occurred.

or power is OFF.
