Upgrades and Options
Notice: Observe static precautions. Use an antistatic wrist strap.
3. Remove the option card from its protective wrapper, holding
the card only by the edges. Do not touch the card components
or the gold connectors.
4. Record the option board serial number in the equipment log.
5. Set any card jumpers or switches as described in the "Option
Boards" appendix or the documentation that comes with the
option board.
6. Holding the card by its top edge or upper corners, firmly
press the card into an expansion slot on the system board.
The tapered foot of the option card retaining bracket must fit
into the mating slot in the expansion slot frame.
