Boot Device Select — If this option is set to "Floppy or Hard
Drive", the system will try to boot from the floppy drive first. If
there is no disk in the drive, the system will then boot from the
hard drive. If this option is set to "Hard Drive Only", the ECU on
floppy disk cannot be changed unless Setup is accessed and this
option is changed.
Setting Base Memory Above 512K — If you enable this
setting, then the memory addresses from 512K to 640K are
assigned to memory on the system board. Choose "Disabled" if
you have an add-in board that uses the memory addresses from
512K to 640K.
Base Memory — The setting, which cannot be changed,
displays the size of the base memory in kilobytes. If there is a
failure in base memory, this size will differ from what was set in
the Setting Base Memory Above 512K option.
Extended Memory — The setting, which cannot be changed,
displays the amount of memory in the system above 1M. The
memory includes SIMMs on the system board and memory on the
memory module.
Speaker — If the speaker is disabled through Setup, application
software cannot enable it.
LCD — The LCD entry is always disabled.
Onboard Mouse — Enable the setting if you are using the
onboard mouse port. Disable this setting if you want the mouse
hardware interrupt (IRQ 12) available for an add-in board to use.
