DRIVEABILITY TROUBLESHOOTING
Idle Speed Incorrect
Install 6-place Harness Adaptor (HD-42962) and breakout box using black connectors between
1 connectors [88A] and [88B]. Place red meter lead in Pin 2 and black meter lead in Pin 1.
YES
Replace Auto-Enrichener.
Disconnect connector [88] to carburetor. Check continuity
from Pin 1 on connector [88] to Pin 3 on connector [10B].
Is continuity present?
YES
Reconnect connector [10].
Is battery voltage present on
Pin 1 (V/O) at connector [88].
YES
Locate and repair
Short to voltage.

Use black male probe and patch cord from

TEST CONNECTOR KIT (Part No. HD-41404).
Start engine. Is batter voltage present?

Locate and repair Open
on Violet/Orange wire.
