6. Insped valve litters
Usmg a micrometer, measure the valve litter diameter.

If the diameter is1 not within specification. check the oll
clearance
(See page 67)
7. If necessary, bleed valve litters
(a) There are two types of valve lifters: (1) and (2). end each
has a different method of bleeding
(b) Immerse thevalve lifter into diesel fuel.
