Scale Tare Weight Programming

A tare is the amount of weight accounted for by the container or packaging. By entering a tare
weight (as required by law in some areas) the weight of the container is subtracted and only the true
weight of the product is measured on the scale. If you are using an optional scale you can pre-
program up to four standard tare weights. Tare #5 is reserved for manually entering tare weights.
By using a tare, you automatically subtract the container weight when a product is on the scale.
1. Turn the control lock to the P position.
2. To begin the program, enter 1 1 0 0 , press the SBTL key.
3. Enter the number ( 1 - 4 ) of the tare you wish to program; press the X/TIME key.
