Connecting the WebSAM NEC Storage Manager Server

(through LAN cable)

The WebSAM NEC Storage Manager is a software product indispensable for using the NEC Storage

S1500.

The NEC Storage server can be connected to CONT0/1. When only 1 controller is connected, use

CONT0.

We recommend you specify a different Ethernet Port IP for each controller in order to take advantage

of the redundant configuration when using an Ethernet Hub.

Use a shielded cross-over cable (STP/FTP only) to connect

the NEC Storage server to a PC directly.

Use a shielded straight cable (STP/FTP only) to connect the

NEC Storage server to a PC via a hub.
